Job Purpose

Support the sales team with the quotation & order process for, to engage with channel partners and suppliers to assist in closing new business opportunities. Support the sales person in building good relationships with specific accounts

and assist with administration tasks relating to the business strategy for each of the accounts


Key Responsibilities:

●      Work alongside other commercial team team members to ensure quote requests are processed accurately and within SLAs

●      To create opportunities and quotes in salesforce in response to requests from sales people or directly from partners

●      Send quotations directly out to partners operating within set threshold and parameters for each account when required

●      Build complex solutions / private wide area networks in salesforce engaging with pre sales to ensure customer requirements have been met

●      Actively follow up open quotes, including those from EQT either in conjunction with the sales people or directly with partners

●      Generate sales order & CRFs within salesforce and send to partners for completion, keeping the salesperson updated on the progress of the order

●      Actively follow up sales orders & CRFs for completion by customers to finalise the sale

●      Run credit checks to ensure customer’s accounts are operating within Credit Control guidelines and work to resolve payment issues highlighted by Credit Control

●      Ensure all procedures for the smooth operation of the quote and order processes are followed, including where necessary the Trade Application & Direct Debit and any other process, to the standard expected and identify where processes need updating

●      Pro actively liaise with suppliers on a deal by deal basis to ensure we are getting the best price

●      Create reports of at the request of the sales team to assist in the management of their accounts

●      Support the sales team in managing the transactional pipeline and key business opportunity pipeline by closing off and updating opportunities as per business rules

●      Respond to both internal and external queries efficiently and in a professional manner, using salesforce as a platform to communicate within the business

●      Update salesforce opportunities with any communication (both telephone calls and emails) with the customer or internal communication with other departments to ensure that or records are up to date

●      Answer calls from customers into the main sales telephone number

●      To assist with preparation and clear down for customer meetings, including arrangements for food and refreshments in meeting rooms

●      Provide general administrative support, including taking of minutes, data entry

●      Play an active role in the sales department and strive to achieve team targets

●      Work in a cooperative and collaborative manner with others in the team, offering assistance to others where possible and remembering that a sales team works best in a positive environment, to play your part in lifting and keeping team spirits and morale high

●      To cooperate and collaborate effectively and in a positive manner with other departments

●      Assist the sales people to ensure customer’s accounts are operated within Credit Control guidelines and work to resolve payment issues highlighted by Credit Control

●      Assist customers with complaints or disputes and liaise with the relevant departments;

●      Keep up to date with knowledge of the company's product & service portfolio

●      Perform any other tasks that may occur from day to day within the department
