Job Description

Job Title:           Business Development Manager

Reports to:        Director of Sales

Salary - £50,000 - £55,000 + Commission (uncapped)

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

·         Produce a development plan to define how new business targets will be achieved

·         Achieve quarterly sales targets

·         Develop relationships at all levels with Intermediaries

·         Deliver training programme to Intermediaries and supervise them through to full accreditation

·         Be the principal point of contact and build ongoing business relationships with each accredited intermediary and manage any issues that arise

·         Act as a brand ambassador for the company, enhancing the market reputation of the business

·         Work with senior managers, telephone sales, operational teams and marketing to effectively and efficiently maximise profitable revenue generation

·         Be proactive in proposition development

·         Develop knowledge and understanding of the company product structure, customer service delivery and operational practices give support to company initiatives where appropriate ie meetings, conferences, exhibitions and corporate hospitality   

·         Maintain and update designated sales management system with all contact details, activities and meeting notes. Take responsibility for ensuring the quality and accuracy of own database which will be used for direct marketing initiatives
